International Conference

International Conference on Salt to be carried out in the final year of the project (2012) in Alava (2 days at most), covering topics such as history and heritage, territorial development, empowerment and tourism management, biodiversity, etc.

Book on Atlantic salt works

Monograph on the Atlantic salt works (photos, texts and maps) that will gather the most relevant information on former and existing salt works in the Atlantic area (final model). 200 page book.

Educational material on Atlantic saltworks

The creation of an effective measurement tool to use with the public to evaluate the Salt Route. This tool goes beyond interpretation (performance) of each site and its main purpose is to present the Atlantic area Salt Route to the public.

Transfer of knowledge on Route development to Morocco

Presentation of the Route and the work about nature tourism in Morocco. A 2-day seminar in Asilah (Morocco) in 2011.

Results: 
  1. Good dissemination of the project and its results, including the Route, by all partners.
  2. Public knowledge and appreciation of the salt working sites.
  3. Participation of new partners in the Route.
  4. Dissemination of the monograph on the Atlantic salt works.
  5. Creation of synergies with other salt works, whether in the Atlantic area or not.
  6. Preservation of the Route.
