Between 29 and 30 September it has been realized the conference “Traditional Salt –Route of the Atlantic” at Larache Multidisciplinary Faculty in Morocco. Besides university researchers, several elements related to production sector, local and regional administration and tourism organizations have attended to this conference.
With the traditional Moroccan hospitality, the conference was held in a great environment and there were realized several visits to coastal and inland saltpans. It was possible to notice the enormous potential of these sites for nature tourism activities. It was also discussed the constraints and particularities of saltpans situation in Morocco and the possible strategies and lines of collaboration with ECOSAL ATLANTIS.
This conference was a first step toward broader cooperation that will be built throughout the project and that is expected to endure beyond it.

To AASI (Association of the friends of the salt marshes of interior), is it developing a battery of indicators that will permit to evaluate the potential of each in terms of eco-tourism.
These indicators are quite diverse and are grouped into two categories (intrinsic and extrinsic). It is intended that the results of their application enable the creation of a qualitative scale that can be applied as a support tool to the territorial management of those areas.
The model will soon be applied in a pilot site of each country, in coordination with other actions of the ECOSAL ATLANTIS, namely the heritage management.

The purpose of the press kit is to provide texts and stories that can be used directly by the press through documents in Word format.

The Brochure and Poster - Traditional Salt - Atlantic Route are the first products of an identity and a common will. Each of the countries involved will do their own editing, designed to disseminate the route along tour operators, or events related to tourism promotion.

The purpose of the newsletter is to bring not just the ECOSAL ATLANTIS project to people and institutions related and concerned with the various activities and actions of the project, but also address issues parallel to the history of salt in the form of stories of salt bringing, sometimes unexpected and unknown, salt and saline characters to readers.
