Chakall e o SAL
During the Old Student´s Day, held at the University of Aveiro (UA) 28th September has been developed the event “Chakall e o SAL”. The dynamics of the activity allowed an audience interaction, where Chef Chakall, with the help of ECOSAL ATLANTIS project coordinator at UA, explained the characteristics of artisan sea salt and fleur de sel, as well as Herb-of-salads and its applications on diet.
Semana Aberta da Ciência e Tecnologia
During the Open Week of Science and Technology, held at the University of Aveiro, 18-22 November, has been developed the activity “Jardins de Sal do Atlântico”, using the tool Pedagogical Atlantic Saltpans Suitcase, with the participation of 2 nd cycle students (10-12 years). The activity had a strong involvement and enthusiasm from the students. After, students and teachers had manifested the interest in returning for playing the other suitcase games, as well as to visit the saltpans during the harvest season.
Traditional Saltmaking The Atlantic Route
Many characteristics are shared by the traditional salt working sites of France, Spain, Portugal and the UK integrated in the ‘Traditional Saltmaking the Atlantic Route’ of the ECOSAL ATLANTIS project. These include a vibrant common identity together with significant biological, economic and cultural potential in which the role of salt goes beyond a mere commodity and becomes a way of life.

Botadela e 8.º Feira do Sal de Aveiro
Entre os dias 18 e 21 de Julho Aveiro recebeu a oitava Feira do Sal, iniciativa promovida pelo Museu da Cidade | Ecomuseu Marinha da Troncalhada [Câmara Municipal de Aveiro] e que se insere no plano estabelecido pelo município para difusão do projeto Ecosal Atlantis e da rota Sal tradicional. Rota do Atlântico que se encontra em fase de constituição.
The future of the route “Traditional Saltmaking, the Atlantic Route”
In the last 24 July some of the current and future members of the route "Traditional Saltmaking, the Atlantic Route" one of the expected results of the project "ECOSAL ATLANTIS", gathered in Victoria to discuss the future and the international strategy for the route
Was also presented and delivered to the project partners the route toolkit, a tool to support the development of activities in the saltpans and one of communication activity results.
