CNRS (DR17) - Géolittomer

Geolittomer is the headquarters in Nantes of a network of four laboratories located in the northeast of France (Brest, Caen, Rennes and Nantes) which together form the Joint Research Unit (Unité Mixte de Recherche - UMR 6554) LETG (Littoral (Coastline), Environment, Remote Sensing, Geomatics). Their research focuses on 3 main areas (risks and conflicts of use, flows and forcing, changes in the occupation/use of the territory) both in coastal and  marine territory Most of all it has to do with the analysis and modelling of complex systems (geosystems) located at the interface between nature and society, using geomatics for that purpose (remote sensing, GIS, spatial modelling).
The maritime and coastline areas studied are located on the French Atlantic coast (Loire estuary, Bourgneuf bay) and the European Atlantic coast (Spain, Portugal), also in Russia, Africa (Ivory Coast, Morocco, and Madagascar), America (Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, United States, Mexico, Uruguay) and Asia (Indonesia).
