Cultural heritage inventory

The teams of the Ecomuseu of the Daviaud and of the Municipality of Aveiro developed already all the methodology for the inventory of the salt making cultural heritage. For the effect was created a form model that includes material objects, intangible and iconography, as well as the typology of the salt marshes and archeology. Thanks to this methodology will be possible to inventory a wide diversity of objects and property, means of transportation, traditions and iconographic representations

This action essentially comprises the development of infrastructure to support varied nature of visitation. Until this time were developed plans for implementation of footbridges, and berths, as well as rehabilitation work on existing structures (bridges, warehouses) and signage projects.

In the Spring of 2011 will be created a series of islands in the interior of 3 salt marshes in exploitation (2 in Aveiro and 1 in Figueira da Foz), aiming to improve the reproductive success of some species of birds that regularly nest there.  One of the objectives of the action also is  to show that the creation of these structures is compatible with the normal salt production.

The Brochure and Poster - Traditional Salt - Atlantic Route are the first products of an identity and a common will. Each of the countries involved will do their own editing, designed to disseminate  the route along tour operators, or events related to tourism promotion.

The purpose of the newsletter is to bring not just the ECOSAL ATLANTIS project to people and institutions related and concerned with the various activities and actions of the project, but also address issues parallel to the history of salt in the form of stories of salt bringing, sometimes unexpected and unknown, salt and saline characters to readers.
